Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh Arrival

We recommend that you pay a visit to The Independence Palace. In walking distance from there you will find the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post, which are well worth a visit. From there you can visit the War Remnants Museum or do shopping at Ben Thanh Market. The Ben Thanh market is the biggest in ho chi minh and you will find plenty choices of Vietnamese handicrafts, local delicacies, garments and small souvenirs. Other popular shopping places are Saigon Square 1 (Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street) or Saigon Square 3 (Hai Ba Trung Street). Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2 – Mekong Delta (Visit My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho) (B, L, D)
You will be picked up at around 7:45- 08:00 am from hotel then depart for My Tho where we will take a boat ridefloating-market-in-can-tho-vietnam-holiday-Oriental-Colours.jpg along the river and enjoy the houses on stilts and see fruit plantation along the river banks. We then proceed to Tortoise Island where we will have lunch in the fruit orchard. A beautiful boat ride through Tan Thach canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadow of the water coconut trees. We visit a family workshop making coconut candy which is a local delicacy. We will also enjoy rowing in a boat along the creeks. After taking a delightful walk through the fruit plantation and villages we proceed to Can Tho. We will transfer you to a small village to check into your riverside cottage. You will join a local family as they prepare the dinner and then share the meal with them. Enjoy an evening listening to traditional folk music with your neighbors. Overnight in the riverside cottage.

Day 3 – Mekong Delta (Visit Cai Rang floating market) – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

Keep cruising through the small cannels system and visit a rice noodle making village. Then visit an orchard where we break for cycling around the rural (option) before the transfer back to downtown for lunch. After lunch, back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 4 – Fly to Da Nang/Hoi An town (B)
You have a free morning to relax or explore the dynamic Saigon at your own pace until airport transfer for your flight to Da Nang. Arrival Da Nang airport, you will be transfer to Hoi An ancient town. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5 – Hoi An Countryside Bike Tour (B, L)
Hoi-An-Countryside-Bike-tour-Vietnam-Holiday-Oriental-Colours--1-.jpgAfter breakfast at resort, you spend a day leisurely cycling though the scenic countryside of Vietnam, far from the traffic the motor scooters, and the noises the city. You will cross the islands on the Song Thu river delta using local transportation, including ferries and floating bridge. This tour will take you to discover how wooden river boats are made, learn the secret of weaving the colorful straw “Hoi An” sleeping mats. Try the renowned Vietnamese basket. You will spend the day with first-hand contact with one of the rural inhabitant of the region, far from the usual tourist circuits. At lunchtime you will be invited into the home of a local Vietnamese family for a traditional Vietnamese meal, and learn their customs and traditions. After you have relaxed for a while under the shade of a mango tree, you will begin your return towards Hoi An, which will take about an hour.
Day 6 – Hoi An/ Da Nang fly to Hanoi (B)
Transfer to Da Nang airport for the short flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Hanoi you will be welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to relax and discover the city on your own, we recommend you visit the many lovely cafes around Hoan Kiem Lake. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 7 – Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D) 
halong-bay-vietnam-tour-packages-Oriental-Colours.jpgYou will be picked up at around 08:00 - 08:30 for 3.5 hour trip to Halong Bay. On the way we stop at a handicraft workshop for a short break. Enjoy the journey through Red River Delta with lush rice fields, water buffalos and everyday Vietnamese rural life. After we arrive in Halong, check-in on cruise and relax for a while. Then we lift anchor and sail to visit Sung Sot caves, then have time for kayaking (optional). We will be cruising between the many lime stones and set anchor at beautiful spot. As the sun sets over the bay, dinner is served on board. In the evening there will also be a cooking demonstration of one or two typical Vietnamese dishes. Leisure time for squid fishing and/or karaoke. Overnight in Ha Long Bay at the cruise ship.

Day 8 – Halong Bay - Hanoi (B, L) 
The beautiful sunrise in Halong bay should never be missed, especially if you are into photography. The breaking of a new day could start with a Tai chi session (if you are keen on early morning exercise). Breakfast will be served on the boat and you will then have time to enjoy a wholesome brunch as your boat weaves through the magnificent limestone karst formations on your return towards Halong City. Upon disembarkation, you will be transferred back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at around 16:30. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 9 – Hanoi Departure (B)
Free time until being picked up for airport transfer for your homeward flight.
