Day 1 – Hanoi arrival
We will pick you up at airport then transfer to your hotel. The rest of day is at your leisure. We recommend you to take a slow walk around Hoan Kiem Lake, which is very scenic, so remember to bring your camera. In walking distance from your hotel, you can go to Thang Long theatre where you can enjoy traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Another option is to do some shopping, you will find plenty of shops in the old town as well as street night market. Should you wish to taste famous Vietnamese coffee, you will find many coffee shops in French style with a view to the lake. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 – Hanoi city tour (B, L)
You will be picked up for city tour at around 08:00 - 08:30 am, then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 - the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Then continue on to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda at West lake (One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam). 12:00: Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, the Guide will take you to visit either Bat Trang pottery village (applied on Mon, Wed & Fri) or the Ethnology Museum (apply on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat). Then, visiting the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam, see Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070 - it’s gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters, and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. At the end, journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you’ll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration.
Tour ends around 16h00 - 17h00.

 
Day 3 – Hanoi - Mai Chau (B, L, D)
In the morning, we will drive to Mai Chau, passing through mountainous villages of Hoa Binh province. We will stop for lunch at a local family at Pom Coong Village. After lunch, we will enjoy a bike ride through the lovely Thai villages amidst terraced rice fields in Mai Chau valley. The afternoon bike ride will finish at 5:00 pm at Buoc Village, where your friendly Thai hosts welcome you to join their dinner. Enjoy Thai traditional dance at the community stilt-house in the evening. Homestay overnight at the stilt-house belonging to a Thai family.

 
Day 4 – Mai Chau back to Hanoi (B, L)
Enjoy the fresh morning atmosphere in the valley as well as delicious homestay breakfast. We will then visit 1000 Step Cave and local market before having lunch. After lunch we will rest and then drive back to Hanoi.
 
 
Day 5 – Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D) 
Pick up at your hotel at 8.00 am then we will depart for Halong Bay. On the way we stop at a handicraft workshop for a short break. Enjoy the journey through Red River Delta with lush rice fields, water buffalos and everyday Vietnamese rural life. After we arrive in Halong, check-in on cruise and relax for a while. Then we lift anchor and sail to visit Sung Sot caves where we have one hour for kayaking. We will be cruising between the many lime stones and set anchor at beautiful spot. As the sun sets over the bay, dinner is served on board with fresh seafood, salads, and fruits. There will also be a cooking class on board, where you can learn to cook some basic Vietnamese dishes. Overnight in Ha Long Bay at the cruise ship.

 
Day 6 – Halong back to Hanoi (B, L) 
The beautiful sunrise in Halong bay should never be missed, especially if you are into photography. The breaking of a new day could start with a Tai chi session (if you are keen on early morning exercise). Breakfast will be served on the boat around 7.30 am, you will then have time to enjoy a wholesome brunch as your boat weaves through the magnificent limestone karst formations on your return towards Halong City. Upon disembarkation, you will be transferred back to Hanoi. Drop off at Legacy hotel for short staying. Our guide will meet you at the hotel lobby to transfer you to train station. Overnight on train to Sapa.

 
Day 7 – Hanoi fly to Hoi An (B)
Arrive in Hanoi around 5.00 am next day. You will be welcome and pick up by our private guide and transfer to hotel for having rest. After breakfast transfer to airport for the flight to Danang. Landing to Danang airport, our drive will take you to Hoi An ancient town, which is 30 km from Danang. The rest of the day is at your leisure to freely discover Hoi An city on your own. Overnight in Hoi An.
 
 
Day 8 – My Son tour (B, L)
Our guide will pick you up at around 8.00 am and take you to My Son, a World Heritage site, 50 km southwest of Hoi An. You will learn about the Cham history and how this massive sanctuary was built. My Son is a complex consisting of more than 65 architectural towers and temples dating back to 4th century. The site was used for religious ceremonies for Kings of the ruling dynasty as well as burial site for national heroes and royal family up to the 19th century. My Son is considered to be of same historical significance as Southeast Asia's greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. After the visit, you will be taken about 30km by bus and embark on boat for the trip back along the Thu Bon River back to Hoi An. Back to Hoi An around 2.00pm. The rest of day is at your leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.
 
 
Day 9 – Hoi An free and easy day (B)
You have a free day to relax and explore Hoi An ancient town. Overnight in Hoi An.

 
Day 10 – Transfer to Hue (B)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Hue city by private car. The car ride takes you around 3.5 hours through Hai Van pass, which is very beautifully scenic. Upon arrival, check in hotel. Leisure time. Overnight in Hue.

 
Day 11 – Hue city tour (B, L) 
You will be picked up at 8.30 am then transfered to visit the Imperial Citadel, this was the center of power for the Nguyen Dynasty who ruled between 1802 and 1945. Here, we will visit Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and the Forbidden Purple City. We will board a boat for a wonderful trip on Perfume River and a visit to Thien Mu pagoda where you will enjoy a vegetarian meal prepared by the local nuns. The afternoon continues with a visit to the fantastic tombs of the emperors Minh Mang and Khai Dinh. Our guides will give you a deep understanding of the King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life. The rest of day is at your leisure. You are free to discover the ancient city by your own. Overnight in Hue city.

Day 12 – Hue fly to Ho Chi Minh (B)
Free time until pick up time for airport transfer. Arrival in Ho Chi Minh city, check in hotel. Relax. Overnight in Saigon.
 
 
Day 13 – Visit Cu Chi tunnels (B, L)
After breakfast at hotel, you will be picked up at around 07:45 and drive to Cu Chi Tunnels. Cu Chi is a network of more than 120 km under the ground and were built by sweat and blood of Vietnamese guerrillas to hide and fight against the rival forces. You will be introduced to many kinds of booby traps used during Vietnam War. We will take time to explain the methods of creating, maintaining and living in these tunnels as well as the special technique of hiding smoke invented by the guerrillas. The visit also includes visiting different type of underground halls, secret working, meeting rooms. You will spend an hour experiencing the tunnels with a guide. Afterwards, enjoy tea and cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in hotel.
 
 
Day 14 – Ho Chi Minh city -  Mekong delta (B, L, D)
You will be picked up at around 7:45- 08:00 am from hotel then depart for My Tho where we will take a boat ride along the river and enjoy the houses on stilts and see fruit plantation along the river banks. We then proceed to Tortoise Island where we will have lunch in the fruit orchard. A beautiful boat ride through Tan Thach canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadow of the water coconut trees. We visit a family workshop making coconut candy which is a local delicacy. We will also enjoy rowing in a boat along the creeks. After taking a delightful walk through the fruit plantation and villages, we proceed to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho city.

 
Day 15 – Mekong delta back to Ho Chi Minh city (B, L)
After breakfast, we take the morning boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market, the river is at its busiest at this time of the day. Keep cruising through the small cannels system and visit a rice noodle making village. Then, you ride bicyle along trail in countryside (option) before the transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in  Saigon

 
Day 16 – Ho Chi Minh city departure (B)
Transfer to airport for your onward flight. End of service.
