Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh arrival

We will pick you up at airport then transfer to hotel. The rest of day is at your leisure. We recommend that you pay a visit to The Independence Palace. In walking distance from there you will find the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post, which are well worth a visit. From there you can visit the War Remnants Museum or do shopping at Ben Thanh Market. The Ben Thanh market is the biggest in ho chi minh and you will find plenty choices of Vietnamese handicrafts, local delicacies, garments and small souvenirs. Other popular shopping places are Saigon Square 1 (Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street) or Saigon Square 3 (Hai Ba Trung Street). Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2 – Mekong Delta (Visit My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho) (B, L, D)

You will be picked up at around 7:45- 08:00 am from hotel then depart for My Tho where we will take a boat ride along the river and enjoy the houses on stilts and see fruit plantation along the river banks. We then proceed to Tortoise Island where we will have lunch in the fruit orchard. A beautiful boat ride through Tan Thach canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadow of the water coconut trees. We visit a family workshop making coconut candy which is a local delicacy. We will also enjoy rowing in a boat along
the creeks. After taking a delightful walk through the fruit plantation and villages we proceed to Can Tho. We will transfer you to a small village to check into your riverside cottage. You will join a local family as they prepare the dinner and then share the meal with them. Enjoy an evening listening to traditional folk music with your neighbors. Overnight in the riverside cottage.
Day 3 – Mekong Delta (Visit Cai Rang floating market) – Ho Chi Minh city (B, L)

Keep cruising through the small cannels system and visit a rice noodle making village. Then visit an orchard where we break for cycling around the rural (option) before the transfer back to downtown for lunch. After lunch, back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
 


Day 4 – Ho Chi Minh city – Da Nang airport – Hoi An town (B)
You have a free morning to relax or explore the dynamic Saigon city at your own pace until airport transfer for your flight to Da Nang. Arrival Da Nang airport, you will be transfer to Hoi An ancient town. Overnight in Hoi An.







 
Day 5 – Hoi An Countryside biking tour (B, L)
After breakfast at resort, you spend a day leisurely cycling though the scenic countryside of Vietnam, far from the traffic the motor scooters, and the noises the city. You will cross the islands on the Song Thu river delta using local transportation, including ferries and floating bridge. This tour will take you to discover how wooden river boats are made, learn the secret of weaving the colorful straw “Hoi An” sleeping mats. Try the renowned Vietnamese basket. You will spend the day with first-hand contact with one of the rural inhabitant of the region, far from the usual tourist circuits. At lunchtime you will be invited into the home of a local Vietnamese family for a traditional Vietnamese meal, and learn their customs and traditions. After you have relaxed for a while under the shade of a mango tree, you will begin your return towards Hoi An, which will take about an hour.
 
Day 6 – Hoi An – Da Nang Airport – Hanoi (B)

The rest of the day is at your leisure to relax and discover the city on your own, we recommend you visit the many lovely cafes around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Day 7 – Hanoi city tour (B, L)

You will be picked up for city tour at around 08:00 - 08:30 am, then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 - the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Then continue on to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda at West lake (One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam). 12:00: Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, the Guide will take you to visit either Bat Trang pottery village (applied on Mon, Wed & Fri) or the Ethnology Museum (apply on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat). Then, visiting the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam, see Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070 - it’s gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters, and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. At the end, journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you’ll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration. Tour ends around 16h00 - 17h00.
  
Day 8 – Hanoi – Mai Chau (B, L, D)

In the morning, we will drive to Mai Chau, passing through mountainous villages of Hoa Binh province. We will stop for lunch at a local family at Pom Coong Village. After lunch, we will enjoy a bike ride through the lovely Thai villages amidst terraced rice fields in Mai Chau valley. The afternoon bike ride will finish at 5:00 pm at Buoc Village, where your friendly Thai hosts welcome you to join their dinner. Enjoy Thai traditional dance at the community stilt-house in the evening. Homestay overnight at the stilt-house belonging to a Thai family.
 
Day 9 – Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)

Enjoy the fresh morning atmosphere in the valley as well as delicious homestay breakfast. We will then visit 1000 Step Cave and local market before having lunch. After lunch we will rest and then drive back to Hanoi.








Day 10 – Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D) 
You will be picked up at around 08:00 - 08:30 for 3.5 hour trip to Halong Bay. On the way we stop at a handicraft workshop for a short break. Enjoy the journey through Red River Delta with lush rice fields, water buffalos and everyday Vietnamese rural life. After we arrive in Halong, check-in on cruise and relax for a while. Then we lift anchor and sail to visit Sung Sot caves, then have time for kayaking (optional). We will be cruising between the many lime stones and set anchor at beautiful spot. As the sun sets over the bay, dinner is served on board. In the evening there will also be a cooking demonstration of one or two typical Vietnamese dishes. Leisure time for squid fishing and/or karaoke. Overnight in Ha Long Bay at the cruise ship.

Day 11 – Halong Bay - Hanoi (B, L) 
The beautiful sunrise in Halong bay should never be missed, especially if you are into photography. The breaking of a new day could start with a Tai chi session (if you are keen on early morning exercise). Breakfast will be served on the boat and you will then have time to enjoy a wholesome brunch as your boat weaves through the magnificent limestone karst formations on your return towards Halong City. Upon disembarkation, you will be transferred back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at around 16:30. Tour end.
