Day 1 – Hanoi arrival (B)

On arrival, you will be picked up and transfer to your hotel for checking in. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight in Hanoi.


Day 2 – Hanoi city tour (B, L)

We first head to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, a 1400 year-old temple, the oldest of the city and located near West Lake offering a watery landscape, the pagoda is a very scenic attraction. The next destination is the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you have chance to visit President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Uncle Ho's House and the One-pillar pagoda – a very iconic temple in Vietnam. Temple of Literature will be your next stop, here education and study is center point.
After lunch at a local restaurant we start the afternoon tour at Museum of Ethnology. This museum is considered as one the finest museum in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. Apart from the comprehensive array of exhibits inside, there are also traditional tribal houses reconstructed on the ground outside. After the museum, we will explore Ngoc Son Temple (Temple of Jade Mountain) dedicated to Confucian and Taoist philosophers and the national hero Tran Hung Dao. The temple with its famous Huc bridge isin the center of Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake. Then it is back to hotel for pick up your luggage and transfer to train station. Overnight. 

Day 3 – Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

On the way we stop at a handicraft workshop for a short break. Enjoy the journey through Red River Delta with lush rice fields, water buffalos and everyday Vietnamese rural life. After we arrive in Halong, check-in on cruise and relax for a while. Then we lift anchor and sail to visit Sung Sot caves where we have one hour for kayaking. We will be cruising between the many lime stones and set anchor at beautiful spot. As the sun sets over the bay, dinner is served on board with fresh seafood, salads, and fruits. In the evening there will also be a Vietnamese dish cooking class. Overnight in Ha Long Bay at the cruise ship.

Day 4 – Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)

The new day could be start by a Tai chi session (if you are keen on). Breakfast will be served on the boat around 7.30 am then you will have more time to enjoy a wholesome brunch as your boat weaves through the magnificent limestone karst formations on your return towards Halong City. Upon disembarkation, you will be transfered back to Hanoi for onward flight to Hue. One stop at a workshop in Hai Duong province for lunch break. Arrive to Hanoi at around 5.30. Overnight in Hanoi.



Day 5 – Hanoi - Hoi An (B)


After breakfast, we will have some leisure time until airport transfer for flight to UNESCO ancient town of Hoi An. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transfer to your hotel for check in. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6 – Hoi An – My Son (B, L)
Our guide will pick you up at around 8.00 am and take you to My Son, a World Heritage site, 50 km southwest of Hoi An. You will learn about the Cham history and how this massive sanctuary was built. My Son is a complex consisting of more than 65 architectural towers and temples dating back to 4th century. The site was used for religious ceremonies for Kings of the ruling dynasty as well as burial site for national heroes and royal family up to the 19th century. 
My Son is considered to be of same historical significance as Southeast Asia's greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. After the visit, you will be taken about 30km by bus and embark on boat for the trip back along the Thu Bon River back to Hoi An. You will have short break and visit Kim Bong, a carpenter village, which is famous for wooden products. You can buy some souvenirs for your family and friends here. Tour ends at around 2.30 pm, you will then have the rest of your day at leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 7 – Hoi An free and easy (B)
A free and easy day for you to enjoy Hoi An on your own. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8 – Hoi An - Da Nang airport – Ho Chi Minh city (B, L)
You will have some free time until airport transfer to Da Nang airport for onward flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, we will pick you up and transfer to hotel in Ho Chi Minh for check-in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.


Day 9 – Ho Chi Minh city tour (B, L)
Pick up at around 8.00am from hotel and head to visit the Re-Unification Palace, the former palace of President Thieu and his predecessors. This building now is a museum and venue for Government official receptions. The next stops are the 2 landmarks of the city, the Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Cathedral was built in between 1863 and 1880 with materials imported from France, is also referred to as Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception. Continue to visit the War Remains Museum, where the Vietnam War crimes are in displayed. This is the most popular museum in Vietnam with approximately half a million visits annually.
Lunch break at local restaurant, afternoon program starts with a visit to Jade Emperor Temple, one of the oldest Chinese temples in Ho Chi Minh City. We will end this day tour with a visit Binh Tay market in China Town and Ben Thanh market, where there are plenty of handicraft, garment and textile products and local delicacies for your shopping requirements.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 10 – Cu Chi tunnel (B, L)
We start our tour at 8 am from hotel and head to Cu Chi tunnels which is about a 1.5 hour drive. Cu Chi is a network of more than 120 km under the ground and were built by sweat and blood of Vietnamese guerrillas to hide and fight against the rival forces. You will be introduced to many kinds of booby traps used during Vietnam War. We will take time to explain the methods of creating, maintaining and living in these tunnels as well as the special technique of hiding smoke invented by the guerrillas. The visit also includes visiting different type of underground halls, secret working, meeting rooms. You will spend an hour experiencing the tunnels with a guide. Afterwards, enjoy tea and cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Before finishing the tour, you can watch a short (15 minutes) documentary about the tunnel.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11 – Mekong Delta ( Visit My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho) (B, L, D)
You will be picked up at 8.00 am from hotel then depart for My Tho where we will take a boat ride along the river and enjoy the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the river bank. We then proceed to Tortoise Island where we will have lunch in the fruit orchard. Enjoy a boat ride through Tan Thach canal in Ben Tre, cruising under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit a family workshop of coconut candy, a local delicacy. We will also enjoy rowing in a boat along the creeks. After taking a delightful walk through the fruit plantation, villages and proceed to Can Tho where we will have dinner. Overnight in Can Tho. 


Day 12 – Mekong Delta (Visit Cai Rang floating market) – Ho Chi Minh city (B, L)
After breakfast, we take the morning boat trip to visit the Phong Dien floating market, the river is at its busiest at this time of the day. Keep cruising through the small cannels system and visit a rice noodle making village. You will experience the Mekong delta iconic image, “Monkey Bridge”, typically made of a single bamboo log and one handrail. The name comes from the bent monkey-like posture you have to maintain when crossing. Then visit a second floating market where we break for lunch before the transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City or airport if requested.




Day 13 – Ho Chi Minh City Free and Easy (B)
A free and easy day for you to explore the city on your own. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 14 – Ho Chi Minh Departure (B)
After breakfast, you will have some leisure time until airport check out for your onward flight. End of services.
