ITINERARY


Day 1 – Hanoi arrival
On arrival, you will be picked up and transfer to your hotel for checking in. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2 – Hanoi city full day (B, L)
You will be picked up for Hanoi city tour at around 08:00 - 08:30 am, then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just nextdoor is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 - the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Then continue on to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda at West lake (One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam). 12:00: Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, the Guide will take you to visit either Bat Trang pottery village (applied on Mon, Wed & Fri) or the Ethnology Museum (apply on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat). Then, visiting the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam, see Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070 - it’s gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters, and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. At the end, journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you’ll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration. Tour ends around 16h00 - 17h00.

Day 3 – Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D)
After having breakfast at hotel we depart to Halong City. On the way we stop at a handicraft workshop for a short break. Enjoy the journey through Red River Delta with lush rice fields, water buffalos and everyday Vietnamese rural life. After we arrive in Halong, check-in on cruise and relax for a while. Then we lift anchor and sail to visit Sung Sot caves, then have time for kayaking (optional). We will be cruising between the many lime stones and set anchor at beautiful spot. As the sun sets over the bay, dinner is served on board. In the evening there will also be a cooking demonstration of one or two typical Vietnamese dishes. Leisure time for squid fishing and/or karaoke. Overnight in Ha Long Bay at the cruise ship.

Day 4 – Halong Bay - Hanoi (B, L)
The beautiful sunrise in Halong bay should never be missed, especially if you are into photography. The breaking of a new day could start with a Tai chi session (if you are keen on early morning exercise). Breakfast will be served on the boat and you will then have time to enjoy a wholesome brunch as your boat weaves through the magnificent limestone karst formations on your return towards Halong City. Upon disembarkation, you will be transferred back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at around 16:30. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5 – Hanoi fly to Hoi An (B)
After breakfast, you have free time until airport transfer for your flight to Da Nang. On arrival in Da Nang, our driver will pick you up to hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6 – Hoi An countryside biking tour (B, L)
After breakfast, you spend a day leisurely cycling though the scenic countryside of Vietnam, far from the traffic the motor scooters, and the noises the city. You will cross the islands on the Song Thu river delta using local transportation, including ferries and floating bridge. This tour will take you to discover how wooden river boats are made, learn the secret of weaving the colorful straw “Hoi An” sleeping mats. Try the renowned Vietnamese basket. You will spend the day with first-hand contact with one of the rural inhabitant of the region, far from the usual tourist circuits. At lunchtime you will be invited into the home of a local Vietnamese family for a traditional Vietnamese meal, and learn their customs and traditions. After you have relaxed for a while under the shade of a mango tree, you will begin your return towards Hoi An, which will take about an hour.

Day 7 – Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
At the pick up time, you will be picked up to airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh city. On arrival in Saigon, our driver will transfer you to hotel for check in. The rest of your day is free. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 8 – Mekong fullday tour (B, L)
 Pick up service at your hotel around 8:00 - 8:30 am then depart for My Tho. On arrived at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, you can see the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh in Ben Tre, we will visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste the delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantation and village. We will then enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music", performed by locals. Meet the bus and return to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 9 – Bus to Phnom Penh (08:30 - 15:45) - Leisure (B)
You will be picked up from your hotel to Bus station going to Phnom Penh (8:30 - 15:30). On arrival to Phnom Penh, our driver will transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 10 – Phnom Penh city tour (B, L)
Today we will discover the Phnom City including: Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), the National Museum built in 1917-18 is exclusively dedicated to Khmer arts. Royal Palace built in 1866, Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound and then Wat Phnom, an ancient pagoda stand up on the hill. Have lunch at your own account. We can continue exploring the city or get back to your hotel upon request. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 11 – Phnom Penh free day (B)
You discover Phnom Penh city at your own pace freely. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 12 – Bus to Siem Reap (08:45 - 14:30) - Leisure (B)
Breakfast at hotel - transfer to Bus Station for departure to Siem Reap. Free time on your own.  Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 13 – Siem Reap tour (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel – In the morning departure to visit the most famous of all the temples on the Angkor plain: Angkor Wat. The temple complex, cover 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru's five peaks, the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat symbolizes the ocean. Continue your visit to the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say
Tevado. Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century); See the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 14 – Siem Reap free day (B)
You have a free day to explore Siem Reap at your own pace. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 15 – Siem Reap departure (B)
After breakfast, you have free time until airport transfer for your homeward flight.
